yes, coordinated attacks (and defense) are still used all the time.
Guys, come back for a round. It ain't a long term commitment like the standard game is. It's just a fun diversion, working with old friends with a set time limit so exiting the game is easy when the round ends (your nation goes poof)

This is the time to do it
About a year or so ago, a bunch of AGW guys that were playing a free browser game joined a tournament edition of the game and showed the lot of them how wargamers play wargames. They learned a lot from us over the last year and our clear early advantages have been reduced.
The tourney rounds only last 2 months, so it is not an ongoing commitment on your time. Dailey, anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour can be spent on the game depending on your interest and what is going on at the time.
Its a nation building game, where the nations are in alliances and those alliances war with each other. Lafayette Escadrille is one such alliance that is comprised of a lot of AGW members and wed like to add a few more for our re-union round.
The fun in the game is not building a nation, its the coordination on IRC and teamspeak that occurs when we attack or counter attack. Working together we have almost always been able to win wars against far bigger groups of nations.
SO, if a fast fling with your wargame and flight sim buddies interests you, sign up here:
http://tournament.cybernations.net/default.asp
It does require an e-mail verification, but they dont send you any ads or junk thereafter.
We coordinate through a BBS forum
http://z8.invisionfree.com/LafayetteEsca...dex.php?act=idx
Register there and post a note mentioning warbirds or roan and youll get access as soon as possible.
Inside are all kinds of growth and trade and war instructions and tips. As well as battle plans and defense plans as the need arises.
Sign up for the new round is Aug 20, dont worry if you are a few days late as it runs 2 months and you can still be effective as a fighting force.
Hope to see a few of you there!

Welcome to all past, present and future members of the S3 Militia!
Several years ago a bunch of us got tied up in a free on-line game and were getting beat up badly. The call went out and the S3 Militia sprang into being and turned that game on its ear.
Rounds last for 2 months so it is not an on-going commitment just a chance to work with some long time friends coordinating attacks and defenses and generally covering your buddies back.
Lafayette Escadrille, the Alliance created of mostly warbirds guys is having a reunion next round starting on August 20th. We hope to get all our past members out for the round so we can kick some butt together like we did a year or so ago!
New members are welcome as well! The game isnt hard to learn it involves growing your nation some and then gearing it towards a military stance. Work in teams, dont react with out talking to buddies, strike and defend in groups.
If you are a returning player or a warbirds guy just interested in working with us on a finite game please go here and register on the forum. We go most of our communicating in the forums the same as we do with the S3 until the wars start, then we use IRC or teamspeak in order to better coordinate.

Mention warbirds or roan and you will get full access to the forum within a day. In the forums you can learn how the game works.
There is still 9 days left in the current round if anyone wishes to fire up a nation and see how the building and military works. The game is here e-mail is required but they dont send out any advertising.

New round starts Aug 20 and lasts 2 months. Uses up 10 minutes or so a day to play though at times it can eat up more time than that if you check it more often.

You might want the S3 weapons files to stay as that is what you just set-up bufftuf based on.
MA object files will make targets considerably easier to take down.
So ask Dan to leave the S3 weapons file intact and just load the MA object file for you.

Jab does actually, the increased space looks to be 40 per month so we are researching options.
Syn is experimenting with updates so he can takes us from where we were to we are now seamlessly.

That has always been an issue... bombers become "targets" but also deliver the damage (points) to win games.
lites need to kill targets (bombers) to reduce damage (points) in order to score their own points and possibly reduce bomber damage enough to win a frame.
at the end of the day it's a freakin circle of priorities and what makes folks enjoy the game (or not)
