V1's were doing 325 GS between 2-4k which translated to about 315 IAS. In a Spit14 I was averaging around 330 IAS in lvl flight and with only 2k delta was able to transition into stern wez doing about 365-370. Intercepting and tail chasin the v1's is challenging but pretty easy if you're not blowin energy haulin back on the stick in the stern conversion. The real challenge will be doin it while dodgin the 109s and 190s.

Ah, 360Km/h, yeah then never mind, shouldn't a prob for any of the heavy iron type stuff at all.
360Km/h is about 230Mp/h, and at 2000 feet, negligible difference between IAS and GS (bout 4Mp/h).
Well sounds pretty cool, lotsa opportunities for fun stuff for mud movers and stick jerkers alike

Maybe a dumb question here but what alt are those v1's at doing 360? And is that ground, true or indicated air speed, because if it's indicated I don't think we have any american or british planes that'll go that fast unless they're up high diving down on em and then you'd have to have one heck of a controller directing the intercepts and sterns.
A position which I wouldn't mind doing for ya btw if ya need someone and I'm available (shift worker)

Thread: B2B Series? |

There is one thing I've noticed and this may have been covered elsewhere however, in recent series we've seen multiple different a/c platforms for squads whereas we used to have a single type to fly for a series. Dunno bout other squads but I used to like the idea of having one a/c for a series, used to start flying em exclusively in the ma and so on and felt a bit more realistic rather than every week flying a new type of a/c.
This the way things are going now or was it just in the way of an experiment?

I just remember back to why this happened. It used to be that if you didn't exit right on the field it was ruled a capture. Most folks whined and moaned ad nauseum (myself included ) until it was fixed so that as long as you were closer to a friendly field than an enemy field you were no longer ruled captured. The trouble now comes in the s3 because it's not ruled a ditch by the game, merely an exit, so it's no different to the game where you land, on a field or not, so long as you're closer to good guys than bad. No big deal in the arena's where the change was made for, however it lends itself badly to scenario play such as the s3 unless folks police themselves.
Surely there must be an arena setting where we might find some reasonable middle ground?

Doesn't ien pay for any costs associated with the s3's? I thought that's what the extra 1.99 was for?
