Who was looking for Me-163 pilot? 07-11-2009 14:54 Forum: S3 Discussion

Someone, somewhere was wanting to interview an Me-163 pilot. I've found one that may be interested. Let me know.

I'll need that rigging to land what I'll be fishin' for.

Sheesh, short-sighted bomber pilots.

Yeah Jeff, I plan on practicing the celestial nav...never know when some world event might cause them to turn the satellites off.

Slip? Who's gonna be in a slip? <G>

Where we'll spend most of our nights there will be no WIFI/cellular/anything except VHF or SSB...or the occasional cry of an eagle or whale doing whatever it is a whale does.

Both the B-17 and B-24 are overmodeled in climb. The only time they get close to realistic climb rates is when loaded with big bombs and lots of gas. Due to the way WB handles a/c weight at max weight they start to be slightly undermodeled. Be very careful asking for realistic climb rates in the 4-engine buffs. <G>

Just think of the Ki-84 as a roll...with the Zeke being nigirizushi. It might take a bit longer to consume...but consumed it will be.

That low fight at 88 was pretty intense.

I had started a little north when I found redlou tied up with a Mustang. I went in to help him out and looked back to find a 2nd Mustang about D3 -- <S> to whoever that was, nice bounce. We went south toward 88 and 2 Mustangs became 4 very quickly. I mentioned on Vent that I could use some assistance (DRAGGING 4 INTO 88 - HHHEEEEELLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!) and Hoki called he was otw and fear posted he was enroute. Once it was over and I was able to make the worlds worst landing daddy= asked if I'd do GCI. Since my hand was shakin' so hard I popped the hatswitch off flying a radar scope sounded pretty good.

Fun fight guys. <S>

Although it isn't obvious with this S3 stats -- or the S6 stats -- the "experten" are the LW squads.

Sounds like an idea....black at T+185 might be even better on the setups such as this one with fields so close.

As far as damage inflicted, but his statement of if your hitting with the 303s you're missing with the 20mm is correct....and IMO one of the biggest reasons for folks claiming the Spit has bad guns.

Hey, Jabo, how many steps in a "wing"???

Depends on the wing. A B-29 wing would be many steps, a 109 wing not so many.
