"The Axis continue to retreat at a faster pace than the allies advance, mainly due to the heavy losses inflicted on British ground vehicles."
I'm sure the Fuhrer will not be happy with that rationale! What has the field marshal been drinking or smoking?

Nice fight chunky!!!
Not sure how, but I got a fuel leak - never heard the ping. I tried to run for Iwo, but after seeing the gauge go lower and lower, I rev'ed to try to help out egressing cons with last drops of fuel. I bailed and you got the credit, so you must have pinged me at least once to get that leak.

Seems that a bail even next to a friendly ship is counted as POW if close to enemy land base... I believe sasqch bailed right at our CV group and is now a POW.

whawk - I have always appreciated your work on the dtf navigation files with maps/routes (and have stated that on more than one occasion). I think the majority of the community still wants to see those, so please don't stop making 'em. Anything beyond navigation information plotted (i.e. real-time target status) will result in this debate again...

IMHO, I agree with others that DTF files should not be used to report downed-targets for purpose of redirecting bombers to another target.
The use of DTF files to indicate which radars are operational is a gray subject. Both sides during WWII had the ability to detect emissions of other's radars. Such devices included Perfectos, Ping-Pong, Naxos, Metox, and Flensburg. Flensburg, for example, was on LW night fighters and could track the tail warning radars on the British night fighters [ ] Even if an airborne platform didn't carry such a device, we are talking about the channel here and ground devices could have detected emissions and radio'd status to the bombers. However, what seems unfair here is that these data mining features, while available to all, require one to write a script/program to use them. That's a bit beyond just providing the convenience of a route/map on one's display.
Personally, I dont think we should use data mining in the future - even for the radars. Maybe IENT should create a tower display that show's radar status...

Hell Bluzoo, we could take care of that on take-off roll with just mg's! No... you roll first... No, I insist, you roll first... ...

I agree it happened all the time jabo, but to bluzoo's point, an enemy or friendly pilot usually didn't get the 'credit' Maybe this is a twist that phenix could consider adding... "friendly kills" and "friendly deaths"... and they could be wrapped-up into the scores.
